Used by the British commandos and parachute regiment in WW2 the toggle rope was a 6 feet or 1.8 meter long rope and had a toggle at one end in a tightly fitting eye splice, with a larger eye at the other end.
This toggle rope has seen a lot of use and of late been used for re-enactments
